First held in 1976, Euroluce narrates the evolution of lighting design, sparking widespread research, innovation and reflection. This year, it welcomed more than 300 exhibitors and saw the first edition of the Euroluce International Lighting Forum, an international debate on the major themes of the industry.Vibia’s proposal for Euroluce 2025 aimed to highlight the company’s ongoing exploration of the concept of “Shaping Atmospheres.” The stand was organised around four key pillars: Materiality and Warm Light, Conducting Light Through Space, Dynamic Light, and Indoor-Outdoor Living. Each one reflects Vibia’s philosophy and vision, transforming the way we experience light and atmosphere. Vibia once again entrusted Francesc Rifé Studio to bring its spatial vision to life. The stand was conceived as a sequence of volumes and voids, each island housing a specific collection of luminaires. Rather than aiming for spectacle, it created an immersive experience, the architecture gently guiding the visitor’s gaze and allowing people to discover rather than dominate the space. Warm materials such as bleached oak and a precise geometric language enhanced the emotional dimension of light and its capacity to shape, insinuate, and disappear, redefining lighting as a generator of atmosphere. During the six day event, press were invited to an exclusive breakfast gathering together with the designers and Vibia’s CEO, Pere Llonch. Vibia also hosted an event designed specifically for Barcelona UPC – Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya’s alumni, promoting the next generation of promising young designers. MATERIALITY & WARM LIGHT ‘Materiality and Warm Light’ delves deeper into the potential of light to create immersive, inviting atmospheres. Light shapes our perception of materials and allows us to play with textures to craft sensory environments. Warm light softens and defines surfaces, establishing an emotional connection with the user while ensuring a refined, relaxing ambience. Integrating this concept into its Euroluce proposal, Vibia explored the relationship between warm light and materiality through a range of evocative collections. The Knit collection, designed by Meike Harde, is based on a knitted fabric sleeve stretched out over a volumetric diffuser. The fabric creates both a visual and tactile texture, lending the space a unique warmth. Light diffuses gently through the ribbed material, projecting a comfortable atmosphere of relaxation and calm. Array is based on layered threads that transform into lightweight luminous sculptures. Designer Umut Yamac explores the kinetic and volumetric effects of light as it passes through the threads. Array Lineal presents a collection of majestic linear forms. Customised configurations envelop the space, warm light shimmering through its linear structures and highlighting the textures of surrounding materials. The collection emits a gentle downlight, while indirect light washes upwards in a gradient of colour. Meanwhile, Antoni Arola’s Flamingo Mini brings an ethereal essence. Its deconstructed design offers a soft, floating light with a discreet elegance. The combination of layered diffusers and warm light creates a subtle and sophisticated atmosphere, conveying an air of tranquility and refinement. Alongside its iconic collections, Vibia introduced guests to a series of new collections, not yet released, that explore the same concept. Woven Air, by Doshi Levien, plays with the lightness and delicacy of diffusing fabrics. Jacquard woven textiles are transformed into generous, floating volumes with a filtering effect. Duna by Cecilie Manz is an essential design that enhances the serenity of spaces through warm, enveloping light. Crafted with natural washi paper, its presence is felt more by the atmosphere it creates than by the luminaire itself. Antoni Arola’s Asia merges traditional Asian craftsmanship with modern technology. Delicately filtering the light from within, its primary shape gives it a sense of fragility, while carrying strong conceptual weight. CONDUCTING LIGHT THROUGH SPACE Lighting design is no longer just about positioning fixtures in a space; it means understanding how light flows, adapts, and redefines perceptions. ‘Conducting Light Through Space’ examines how light can be distributed fluidly and strategically, expanding the possibilities of Shaping Atmospheres of wellbeing through a combination of diffuse, direct and indirect lighting effects. Bringing this concept to life, Vibia presented a range of flexible solutions. Designed by Diez Office, Plusminus gives material form to electricity. Its revolutionary conductive textile belt allows light to be distributed freely, enabling dynamic, flowing configurations that adapt to any space. Whether draped loosely or pulled taut, the collection balances diffused and focused light to define a cohesive atmosphere. Complementing the original collection, Plusminus Solo’s semi-spherical silhouettes lend a sculptural quality, offering diffuse and accent lighting from above—and below. Bind is a hybrid proposal by Martín Azúa. It integrates advanced light conduction technology with a sleek aesthetic, creating subtle transitions between scenes. Its ability to distribute focused and ambient effects allows for both precision and flexibility, enabling multiple atmospheres within a single space. Circus is a creative toolkit, free from architectural constraints. Designed by Antoni Arola, its playful system of conductive bars and floating luminaires introduces dynamic compositions and a blend of lighting effects. Its versatility allows for adaptable lighting throughout the day, delivering an emotional, immersive experience. During Euroluce 2025, Vibia also took the opportunity to showcase a number of collections in development that aim to redefine the way light flows through space. Birds, by Martín Azúa, is an elegant modular solution inspired by the freedom of birds perching on a branch. It optimises spotlighting with elegance and precision, creating a richly nuanced atmosphere. Francisco Gomez Paz’s Veil is an innovative collection that is both visually distinctive and highly functional, introducing essential structures that transform light into a three-dimensional experience. Meanwhile, Arik Levy reinterprets the concept of the horizontal chandelier with Nexum, combining both downward and upward lighting to create dynamic structural compositions. DYNAMIC LIGHT ‘Dynamic Light’ explores how light can adapt to different moments, emotions, and activities through variations in intensity, temperature, and colour. Light is no longer a static element but a constantly evolving tool that responds to our circadian rhythms. From serene and relaxing to vibrant and stimulating, dynamic light facilitates the creation of authentic, personalised experiences. Vibia introduced various immersive collections designed to explore this concept. Designed by Xuclà, Offset combines a sleek design with subtle, intuitive lighting: a variety of ceiling fixtures add depth and functionality thanks to their dynamic lighting effects. Wall washers enrich the space with colour, from warm hues that evoke the afternoon sun to cool, energising tones. Alongside Offset, Vibia presented three new proposals that adapt to changes in mood and use of space, redefining the way we experience light. When Oko, by Ramos & Bassols, comes to life it radiates with energy. Fusing light and material, its essential form is poised over a solid base-block, enhanced by an exquisite spectrum of Chromatica coloured light gradients. Designed by Daniel Rybakken, Daylight recreates the natural transition of light throughout the day, enhancing connection with our surroundings. Rather than imitate daylight as observed outdoors, it explores its effects as it enters a room through a window. Pro, by Holscher Design, is more than just a luminaire – it is an immersive lighting experience. Offering advanced control of whites, colours, and graphic effects, its intuitive functionality transforms our perception of space and ambience. INDOOR-OUTDOOR LIVING Through ‘Indoor-Outdoor Living’, Vibia explores the way light dissolves boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, connecting with our emotions and creating a seamless dialogue between architecture and landscape. The challenge lies in integrating light organically, respecting architectural features while enhancing our experience of the natural surroundings. Vibia presented two subtle designs that promote a continuous sensory experience as we transition from indoor to outdoor spaces. Designed by Martín Azúa, Dots Outdoor introduces a play of constellations in the dark. Its discreet design allows for easy integration into architectural and natural settings. Positioned individually or in dynamic compositions of beams and halos, it enables a harmonious atmosphere shaped by a blend of lighting effects. Class, by Sebastian Herkner, reimagines the classic street lamp with clean, contemporary lines. Thanks to its noble materials and elegant presence, it lends character to transitional spaces while integrating into gardens, patios, and urban areas. Its warm, uniform light enhances the sense of continuity, facilitating an enveloping, comfortable ambience. Delving deeper into new ways of integrating light into the landscape, Vibia unveiled four collections still in development. A portable solution by Roberto Palomba, Alba symbolises the meeting of two essential elements in perfect tangency. A stability that is only seemingly fragile, its dynamism is shaped by a dialogue of encounters and separations. Blending into both urban and landscaping projects, Arik Levy’s Pipes reinterprets industrial elements with a poetic aesthetic. Its fluid, continuous design performs a multitude of tasks, delivering light as a material element. Pushing the connection between interior and exterior further, Closer, by Ichiro Iwasaki, offers portable illumination with a gentle presence that envelops the air, casting a serene and intimate light. And finally, Nenuphar, by Estudio Lievore Asociados + Lis Beltran, combines natural shapes with meticulous technical precision. Like an ethereal garden, its delicate curves and slender lines integrate flawlessly into outdoor settings. During Euroluce 2025, Vibia welcomed thousands of guests to the stand, bringing together some of its most iconic innovations while showcasing a promising range of new concepts. Thanks to our ceaseless exploration of materials, technologies, and lighting solutions—and with the continued support of our designers and teams—each collection exemplifies how light can be used as a tool to elevate the aesthetic and emotional experience of a space, enriching the lives of those who inhabit them.
